I love this song. Leigh Whipper's a cappella version in The Ox Bow Incident is perfect.

Here's a 6-minute clip from the movie, with Leigh Whipper's version from 3:18 t0 4:15.

What a great movie and cast. Henry Fonda, Harry Morgan, Dana Andrews, Anthony Quinn, and Jane Darrell playing a role that is a 180 from her Ma in The Grapes of Wrath.
A most unwestern western. It tells quite a tale in only 75 minutes. Nominated for Best Picture in 1942 and one of the films Henry Fonda is most proud of appearing in.
