unhidden with repousse.
Top notch piece. Brubeck knew the ivories and trusted his team. He played second fiddle to the sax to keep it going and then just displayed why he could carry the load.

(65,042 posts)The only obvious difference is the use of the 9/8 time signature.
More subtle is the fact that Dave & Paul are almost exclisively playing in dorian& locrian mode, creating a middle eastern feel to the melody line & solos.
The rondo form makes it pretty easy to distinguish, no matter the actual notes chosen.
