but I put up Chase because they were a "horn" band from back in the day. Most people have forgotten them.

Pieces of Buffalo Springfield. Not really Country as we think of Nashville.

is well known to be distinct from traditional Country. I understand that you don't like it and that's fine but it should not be defined incorrectly either. It would be like calling rap music just glorified square dance rhythms with more menacing/meaningful lyrics. I put up the piece because of the similar title and to showcase the vocal work/musicianship of the band members working with each other. They are well known and highly respected in the world of music. Remember that the funk piece you put was derivative of James Brown and that funk in general was a melding of big band, jazz and other genres. I appreciate all forms of music and deeply respect those who perform music and vocal work with high skill.

I can actually call it anything I want to. You noticed Poco is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, though three members are because of their work with Buffalo Springfield and the Eagles. Evidently Chase is in the Iowa Rock and roll Hall of Fame musicianship is an objective opinion and I don't mind saying I'm a bit elitist when it comes to music. I've seen many great musicians from Hendrix to James Brown so pardon me if I find a lot of bands and whole genres inferior, but I do

in the RHOF is somewhere between banal and OK. It's fine to not like a genre but it doesn't mean it should be mis-characterized. There are many people who don't care for Hendrix, psychedelia, James Brown etc. As I stated I like all genres and some don't. I don't feel a need to put down or mis-characterize/diminish those who write and perform in those genres. I'm fine not being elitist.

To try to appeal to Rock fans. I also call it bumpkin music, you like that better? Using your vernacular isn't country almost all country rock now? I understand your need to want to distance yourself from country to whatever you want to call what you like, to my ear there's not much distinction. I'm happy for you that you like all kinds of music so that you can be okay in an elevator or on the phone on hold, it's torture for me
