(4,138 posts)But I've lived most of my life in the PNW, and have lots of family near Portland, so the story has always fascinated me. And the song just has a really nice melody, and some really interesting imagery.

--This guy I know, says a guy he knows, lives a couple of miles from this guy who lives in a tent in the national forest. The guy in the tent, used to be almost as rich as El-- (Shit, I almost did it again) but spent all his money. Guy would never talk about where his money came from but after he spent it all, he had trouble getting a job to earn money. So he earned money by trapping and selling furs. But the fur business ain't doing too good these days after the P.E.T.A. fussing.
I don't know... What do yiz think? Is it him?
