mostly looking for a short hand was to say- i found this player, mostly strings, some brass, who's been looking for a singer.
cant seem to pull up examples off the top of my head.

Steely Dan kinda fits that bill, as do Simon and Garfunkel.
Then there's Carpenters, Richard and Linda Thompson, and Ike and Tina Turner.

(63,112 posts)kind of songs that would work for you and your guitarist friend, rather than just asking us to name duos. So I posted videos of women singing while playing acoustic guitar. And even if your friend isn't familiar with all these songs, the odds are there's a good tutorial on YouTube to help her learn the song very quickly.

(73,943 posts)we hooked up w an irish pick up band. she's scottish, and came up in fife and drum.
we'll work through that stuff 1st. i know a lot of the songs, and they arent that hard to play.
we want to do a couple chapel hart songs, tho.
