A dutch pirate shanty from the 18th/19th century

"Al die willen te kap’ren varen" is a dutch folklore-song from Dunkirk, first written down in 1856 in Dunkirk. It's unknown how old this song actually is. Dunkirk was port to many dutch pirate-vessels in the 16th and 17th century. At first they were privateers for the Spanish Kingdom and the Spanish Netherlands, but later they were officially declared pirates.

They were active mainly in the North-Sea, sometimes in the Baltic Sea and in the Atlantic along North-Africa, but not in the Caribbean.

It's a common 3-part Irish reel played about everywhere. In someplaces the tune goes by "The New Bridge of Eden".

Thanks for the background history and posting - I'm a sucker for this stuff.
