From the 1973 album "Recorded Live". The lead solo is a lot of fun. Great album from end to end.
You got to help me, now; I can't do it all by myself.
You got to help me, now; I can't do it all by myself.
You know if you don't help me, darling, I'll have to find myself somebody else.
I my have to wash, I may have to sew, I may have to cook. I might mop the floor; but you help me, baby.
If you don't help me, darling, I'll have to find somebody else.
When I walk, you walk with me; and when I talk, you talk with me.
Oh, baby, I can't do it all by myself.
Bring my nightshirt; put your mornin' gown.
Bring my nightshirt; put your mornin' gown.
You know if you don't help me, darling, I'll have to find myself somebody else".
You're talking about your woman, I wish to God man that you could see mine.
You're talking about your woman, I wish to God man that you could see mine.
Every time the little girl starts to loving she bring eyesight to the blind.

Better than any other 10 Years After or Alvin Lee track. Helps that it also has my favorite George Harrison slide part too

(3,064 posts)2. Why Alvin Lee isn't held in the same regard as Brit. guitarists
Such as Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton is beyond me.
They had a brief moment in the spotlight after Alvin and Ten Years After's absolutely incendiary version of I'm Going Home on the Woodstock movie. The best performance in the entire movie, IMHO.
But Alvin never got the respect other British guitarists achieved.
Page and Beck have other talents along with being brilliant guitarists. The player most like Lee in style is Clapton and Alvin was running rings around him since 1967.
