Very small venues - the last time was practically a house concert - but he was great, basically played The Space Ritual each time.

...is always special, IMO.

When I saw Hawkwind at The Auditorium Theater, it was close to that, maybe.

The live acoustics there are legendarily great!

“1999 Party” recorded in 74 I think. Was that maybe your show?

...don't remember if they had other shows, like the day before or after I saw them.

I tend to think that they had just one show, and that was likely it.

I'm gonna do some YouTube searching for "1999 Party."

Who else could bring a saxophone to space rock.

I saw him solo here in Charlotte several years ago, he didn't have a place to stay. I offered him to sleep on my couch.

He ended up staying with someone else who lived closer to the event.

I ALMOST HAD NIK AT MY HOUSE LOL.

I have seen Hawkwind about 5 times, NYC, Atlanta and an obscure bar in Florida, NY.
