Rushen and King were both out around the same time.

King knocked it out of the park with the "Get Loose" album. Both "Love Come Down" & "Back to Love " from that one are as good as it gets.

Music from that era was so much better than the crap now.

I was just watching this great documentary on her ...

I was tuned in to her as a jazz player first ... was LUCKY to hear her in person playing with Buster Williams' group, in Chicago. She lit up the room! Here's a really wonderful set, including a couple of interviews with Patrice, featuring other jazz masters.
