Edit: been listening to her all evening, love her 70's stuff, not too keen on some of the 80's stuff - still how the hell is she not better known? She's right up there with Joni Mitchell.

She's a brilliant songwriter, and she's got serious guitar skills. Put simply - I adore her.

2. Joan is somewhat of an hermit when she isn't performing

Although I'm not sure how much was just a desire for privacy as an out lesbian trying to protect her partner (who was not a public person).

She never did marathon tours or keep busy on the television interview circuit.

She would write a bunch of songs record them do a quick tour and go home.

But she is a big deal - a genuinely gifted singer songwriter.

Save me is one of my favorites from any songwriter in any genre,
