(65,191 posts)But, I quit being able to sing it because I've been to Spain a half-dozen times.
A woman I knew was quitebgood friends with Chuck Negron & Floyd Sneed. Chuck was a founder when they were called Redwood.
After the name change, they decided to have a full blown band, and Floyd was the original drummer.
We met those guys in 1974 after a concert in our town. By just good luck, we had an "in" with the promoter and we had backstage passes. They invited us back to the hotel for a party, which was just beer & coffee, but Floyd stood over us like a hawk, because I was the oldest of the 4 of us, and still only 17. No beer for us!
But, they were all nice guys (all 7, plus 1*) and let us stay around an hour & a half.
* - From 1974 to 1976, Skip Conte played live with TDN as a synthesizer player. He went by The Wizard and did some fire tricks magicians use during the show. Interesting dude.
