"Almost" because the Stones have become such a Glimmer Twins band that others are orbiting in the peripheral. I don't think it was right they referred to him as "Little Mick" and his well know feuds with Richards meant he wouldn't last long.
He was, however, there through most of the Rolling Stones formidable years, even penning some of their most memorable hits without due credit. The pensive "Moonlight Mile" being among one of my all time favorites along with "Sway". His guitar work is well pronounced on one of my 1st Stones albums, the very live "Get Your Ya Yas Out", and his sticky prints are all over "Sticky Fingers".
Happy Birthday Mick! Thanx for posting!
"We used to fight and argue all the time. And one of the things I got angry about was that Mick had promised to give me some credit for some of the songs and he didn't. I believed I'd contributed enough. Let's put it this way without my contribution those songs would not have existed. There's not many but enough, things like "Sway" and "Moonlight Mile" on Sticky Fingers and a couple of others."
