But, I'm not sure "ripped off" is the right phrase.
In two cases he acknowledged the similarities in chord progression.
But, chord progressions can't be copyrighted.
And, since it's western music the probable progressions is not infinite.
There are others here, though where the melody is a pure lift.
We might be able to call that ripping off.
