Golden Earring lead singer Barry Hay, singing "When The Lady Smiles" - Ahoy arena, 1/22/23 + GE

Barry's show - he was properly billed just by his name as a solo artist; no other former GE members were there - was part of the Vrienden Van Amstel (Friends Of Amstel) music festival at the Ahoy arena in Rotterdam a couple of weeks ago, shows where music fans enjoyed Amstel beer along with the concerts.

I can't fault Barry for wanting to keep singing the GE hits he cowrote, even after GE disbanded because of guitarist George Kooymans' ALS diagnosis ( https://www.democraticunderground.com/10181674319 ). And he still sounds pretty good (though this video from a fan includes some singing from the audience I could have done without).

This version isn't as good as Golden Earring's, though, so I'm including live performances from 1986 and 2019. If you have time for just one, go with the one from 1986, the second video here, the band's first concert for hundreds of thousands of fans on the beach near The Hague (they did more concerts on the beach later).
