Lyrics for Activists. Got music? (copyright free, preferably)

Not your 60's Civil Rights music, but what the heck.

It's a late night inspiration. -- rough edges?

Every day sees higher prices
Every day another crisis
Unhinged episodes combine (2)
Each more violent and obscene
To take the spotlight
— off Epstein

Everything that he accuses
is a thing that he abuses
It’s a place where he has gone
Like a shabby Mafia Don

Any One his outrage sways
Is a person he betrays
Words are just synthetic(1) honey, to
Drain your honor and your money

He claims he’s for America First
That’s a lie that’s just the worst
Billions for his foreign debt
We get zilch
— He gets a jet

Epstein, Epstein, king of blackmail
Conveniently, he died in jail
Victims aren’t free, (or) they’d he saying
The name of him that
— they’re still paying

Desperate to protect himself
He wants those files upon a shelf
Never ever to be seen
To protect the King and Queen

(1) or Grok-made, or duck-speak
(2) So Epstein is pronounced eps-teen?. I never knew him.
I was thinking of the main theme of Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony. YMMV, definitely!

1. Re verse 1 - Jeffrey Epstein's name is pronounced Epsteen, not Epstine (so it won't rhyme with combine).

As for trying to come up with new music - I hope to God no one uses the genAI plagiarism machines trained on stolen intellectual property for either lyrics or music.

I had a few weeks of German in college, but years of operas after that.

Ring cycle continues at "At the Opera" Siegfried and Götterdämmerung the next two weeks.

If you're unfamiliar with these, please enjoy Anna Russel's brilliant and nutty introduction. (YT)

Before CapRadio had a fiscal catastrophe and kicked "At the Opera" off the air, they archived past operas.

Stopped in 2023.
