this is the best shot from the 2 or 3 mornings that i put a little time into shooting the squirrel monkeys that come down to my house. this is my favorite shot [so far] from that time period and it was taken the day after mother's day. in the group i saw probably 8 or 10 mothers with a baby on their backs and i noticed that they would get tired after running up and down the trees and jumping through the branches with the extra weight. they would sometimes put their head down and take a mini nap that didn't really last for more than a minute, and was sometimes shorter.
this mother's face-plant into the bamboo really shows you how exhausted she was.
