Daily Distraction 1/06/2022

The Isar runs through Munich. It is not really navigable which is why Munich is a fairly young city by European standards.
to use it there is the Isarwerkkanal. A canal running next to the river which helps with flood control, electric generation and was used to transport logs. In summer there are rafts that pay homage to that history. But they are not working to transport lumber anymore. They are party rafts complete with live music and grilling.

That raft with the music looks like a great ride.

And what a lovely view of the river itself and the canal...plus the riversides.

Perfect activity for the summertime!
