Last day of the week in Hamburg. These are from the Miniatur Wunderland. It is a monster train set on steroids.
Trains, planes and automobiles. You can tour the world with this warehouse sized 2 story display. Planes taxi around the airport, take off and land. Car and trucks navigate the roads and use their turn signals (I know, how German.) The harbour has tides and boats that maneuver around. Night becomes day and back. Swedish trains run on the left track so when these trains go into Sweden on the model they switch sides and all the signals fit the Swedish standard. Food and beer available also.
If you are in the city, it is a must see.

Planning a Europe trip with my daughter to revisit places she saw when part of the Exchange Student program over 30 years ago. We were planning for 2020 when Covid hit; now hoping fall 2023 will be safe and doable.

Love your posts and photos, you inspire us with ideas for planning our trip. You are like the DU version of Rick Steves

If you head down Munich way, don't be a stranger. I could be available for tour guide duty or just a meet up.
