(25,300 posts)Both the portrait and landscape versions are great, even if monitors are almost always horizontal and they favor the landscape versions.
When printed and on the wall, both are perfect.
Trees complement the clouds (and the composition) very nicely.
Dark and mid tones give the clouds "lift" and also nice dimensionality.

(33,344 posts)to get the shots!
I bought this house-- and chose this lot--hoping to have a sunset view and I've not been disappointed.
It really helps to be able to witness such beauty right from my house, given the state of our country these days. The economic, political, and cultural landscapes in the US are anything but beautiful right now.

(4,168 posts)Thanks for sharing those! We are dealing with Sahara dust that gets in our eyes and lungs, so I've been keeping going outside to a minimum. I haven't seen any gorgeous sunsets in awhile.

(33,344 posts)This sunset--and one the previous night--were after strong thunderstorms came through at the end of high 90 degree days. Not our typical June weather of mid 80's. So, at least we had a payoff for this awful heat with a gorgeous sunset.
