Pittsburgh area DUers who enjoy photography may be interested in these Summer Solstice Tours.

The Calvary United Methodist church on the North Side of the City of Pittsburgh is offering Summer Solstice Tours. The church is adorned with 1890s-era Tiffany stained-glass windows. The church has a general west-to-east orientation with its face being to the west. At this time of year, the large stained-glass window at the face of the church catches the afternoon sun rays and produces colorful beams which illuminate the church sanctuary.

Any season is a great time to visit the church to appreciate the Tiffany windows. The three main works are at the face (as mentioned above), at the northerly (left) wall, and at the southerly (right) wall of the church.
