Related: About this forumDaisy with curly petals.
Some of the mule-ear daisies have curly petals. This is a good example, with a ladybug.
f/7.8 for some depth of field.
Enjoy!

(9,795 posts)These daisies, wyethia elata, seem native to a corner of Mariposa and Madera counties. If you do a web search for images, very few show the curled petals, and a wild guess says that less than 10% of them here (and I have lots and lots of them) are curly, which is really pretty.
Previous posts showed more detail of the little "trumpets" inside.

Bees are OK, though.
Took this with an iphone, so I got kind of close.
But we get along fine.

And just hanging around-n'about
Sister-bug told me to watch-out
For dem big human shutter-bugs
Now what's a lady(bug) gotta do
For a little privacy round here (?)
