Related: About this forumA Trans-Canada Train Odyssey (HD) - My video surpasses 75,000 views on YT!
Now for a bit shameless self-promotion... and some motion picture photography instead of stills...
Here is my full-length video on "The Canadian" - VIA Rail's Transcontinental passenger train, recorded during our scenic land cruise across Canada in March of 2022.
Showcasing the breathtaking scenery & world class service to be found aboard VIA Rail Canada's premier passenger train.
It's a 95 hour trip condensed into 3hrs55min - Possibly the longest & most in-depth amateur video documentary of the Canadian on Youtube (if I do say so myself)
Hope you enjoy!

(13,569 posts)Our father was born there, and never relinquished his citizenship even though he lived in U.S. all his adult life on a green card.
By 2009 Canada law, children born outside Canada to parents of citizens born in Canada are allowed to claim citizenship.
We applied fifteen months ago! Everything in that realm moves slowly. But we are in stage two of three stages now.
I will be especially interested in seeing what you show of the prairie provinces -- my grandparents homesteaded there. I have been to Canada multiple times, but only once to Saskatchewan, where the homestead was.

(1,797 posts)Contact VIA Rail (VIARail.ca -phone # on website) and ask about sleeper plus class discounts/ express deals, you can sometimes get up to 40-50% off. AAA discount is 10% off.
And don't book any connecting travel on the same day the train is due to arrive to account for delays. More tips in the vid!
