Im new to watercolors and trying to learn to paint easy stuff first. Any pointers or tips? Just trying to teach myself.
Paints? Brushes?
Ive only done one landscape that was a tutorial.
Trying to find some relaxing time.

(33,344 posts)so cannot help with tips. I do love watercolors, though, and the shape, texture, and colors in the clouds made me think of a watercolor painting.

(10,459 posts)I take photos out my front door on the mornings when the sky is especially beautiful and always love it when these colors are present.
I am not a painter, but I enjoy the work of others. The best I can do is my phone camera. Here is one morning last week.

These shots were both taken with my cell phone. When I noticed the color in the sky, my cell phone was closer than my camera. Color fades very quickly here at dawn, so I just went with the camera at hand.

(33,344 posts)I'd been awake for awhile. Had been lounging around with coffee, procrastinating on my walk. Too humid. But, of course, the humidity contributed to the lovely colors.
