(1,557 posts)I went last year to ski and was amazed. I lived in the San Juan mountains of Colorado for over a decade and it was equal or grander than the vistas there.
The skiing is off the chart as well.
My daughter is going this spring with a friends family. Shes gonna be blown away.
Very jealous of you, and her.

How about this link to Peyto Lake (yes, I got a picture like the one at the link.) Many unbelievable views in Banf & Jasper.
Strange story about camping out in that area...Yes, it is true..........................
In 71 or 72 I was camping out in Jasper National park. Full sized tent among a host of other campers...some in tents, and
some in campers. So, very early in the morning, about 4am, there was a dog barking very loud. And the dog barked for
about 20 minutes or so..............I fell back asleep and when I got up, I walked over to the camper where the dog
was from, and talked to the owner..."Why does that dog bark so loud like that in the middle of the night? ".. I asked
The owner said "That here must have been a "bear" in the area. That is why." End of that conversation.

(10,088 posts)Maligne Canyon (just outside Jasper) for the summer and stayed with my friend and her family at Lake Edith. The bears were there daily and I had to shoo tourist away from a picnic table that one brave bear decided to take over lunch. The people had totally encircled the bear for pics but had he looked up he would have seen he was trapped and someone could have gotten hurt. I grew up in the wilderness so bears did not bother me.
