Knew a group of folks (Brooks Bird Club) who started a bird banding station there years ago. Not sure if it's still there, but it was known throughout the birding community.

The group occupied most of the campground's sites and they invited me to observe. I got to watch the setting of mist nets before dawn and the subsequent banding. The station is still there. Here are photos of a black throated blue warbler one of the club members was banding.
