2. It is the names that get you.

Just like when paying respects at the Vietnam Memorial. These were once living and breathing human beings whose deaths were not in vain.

3. Yes, that's so true.

I have never been to see this memorial but I have been to the Vietnam Wall and it made me tear up, just seeing all those names.

5. Some names on the wall in DC I knew.

Neighborhood boys who went over and did not come home alive or came back forever affected by their experience.

7. That's a lot of names 2,403 people

68 civilians, and 19 ships, 8 battleships. (I just looked it up.) I didn't even know it was that many people or ships! Don't think we covered it at all in History class. what a shame.


Ironically, today would be my 22 anniversary with my ex. Getting married on Pearl Harbor Day should have been a sign... oops.
