(6,819 posts)I'm not being complimentary. This really touched me profoundly. Brought tears. I don't understand why.

(40,105 posts)I didnt mean anything by it, just caught my doggie looking at the tree. Nothing more than that was intended.

(6,819 posts)was baffling. Thanks for letting me know. What might have been only a well done and cute photo to most viewers brought up in me the grief from a recent loss along with the peace and joy conveyed by the Christmas tableau. The conflicting emotions were intense and confusing. I was in tears and couldn't understand why such a warm and calming photo could trigger such deep sadness. This was my first Christmas in 14 years without my cat Penelope, who died two months ago. I now understand what happened when I viewed your beautiful photo. You unintentionally helped me sort through some pretty heavy stuff. Thank you!

(40,105 posts)Sometimes the holidays brings out memories both sad and fond. It sounds like Penelope was a very much loved family member its understandable that you are still mourning her loss. She was lucky to have you in her life.
