from Digital Camera World. I will post others as they arrive in my in-box but this one is near and dear to me as you might imagine. I met the man on several occasions and had an OM 1 with his autograph etched in the back. I've donated it to a collector who can better make use of it than I and give it the exposure it deserves.

(36,943 posts)My first camera was an OM-1 in the 1970s. It was a tough hobby to afford in those days, especially for young blue collar twenty-somethings like me. I wore that camera out. When the shutter stopped working I took the camera apart in hopes I could fix it. I couldn't, but I kept the pieces in a box for decades. Now I shoot Nikons, but I loved my OM-1 dearly. Olympus is one of the most innovative camera designers in the world.
