I have a wonderful avocado tree...and I took a picture of my first avocado! Just one, not a nice as yours, but your photo made me think of how excited I was to see what my tree was growing!

Thank you for the thread.

Sharing the beauty that I'm lucky to see is who I am.

Good luck with your avocado tree! They get pretty big, eventually.

The first few years, just a few avocados.

The last two years, hundreds of them. I gave away more than I can count.

Actually, I discovered my first avocado when it was about the size of the ones in your picture.

Avocado trees, as I understand it, have to have a mate somewhere to pollinate them. It seems that for the first few years, this was not happening. Then all of a sudden, WOW, something turned it on!!

I’m not 100% sure about the pollination, but that is what I was told.

You are so kind and gracious to everyone. Again, no disrespect meant. Just sharing.

These are all very nice, but the flowers particularly caught my eye. Such a luscious assortment of rich, vivid colors.

When I posted all those flowers, I thought that maybe I was overdoing it.

I guess not!

I love the rich, vivid colors too.
