Although we are in the brown season, and flowers, etc. are just starting to pop out of the ground, I just needed something fresh, so I purchased some tulips last week. They are on their "last leg" but still beautiful!

Your tulips will continue to be interesting subjects even after they've shuffled off. My little tulip, Tiptoe the Tulip was its name, posed postmortem for some shots which I'll post elsewhere.
