I love your posts. I wish I could do my younger years over. I realize that being a fire lookout is an extremely tough job, especially at the height of thunder storm season or if a fire breaks out. And probably not many lookouts have been female people, but I would love to have had at least one season when that would have been my job. I got to spend two nights in a decommissioned lookout near Mt. Hood one summer, many years ago. It was at the Full Moon, and sunrise and sunset/moonrise was unforgettable. Thank you so much for sharing.
