Checking out a new area for pics

Went under a full moon to see how the area was with getting set up without using artificial light and my view. Went well but way to much light for night starfield pics. So just fooled around with these:

I would definitely go back, if it's convenient, when the moon is absent.

I saw Orion's belt!

I have no idea what your knowledge is of photography, or what kind of camera you use, or anything like that.

I will say that I've had a lot of help from a number of folks and from AndyS, here on DU. He is very knowledgeable about taking photos and photography in general. He'd be an excellent choice for tips!

A lot of what I use is from him.

I just couldn't get the light balance right with my setup. Might have to go the composition route
