So how good is the equipment we photgs use these days?

I was doing some final processing on my Smith Oaks Pictures and noticed a little black spot on Daddy's leg. Hmm what could it be?

I cropped in on the spot and enlarged it 300x. Guess what? It's a house fly!

It's to the point that I don't question the technology anymore because any technology sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic . . .

The software is also amazing. A friend recommended I try DXO pureraw 3. I now use it for importing any image which may prove challenging to process. I can really push the limits of exposure knowing I can still get a clean, noiseless photograph. They offer a month long free trial too.
