Related: About this forumTonight, my husband and I celebrated our 58th Wedding Anniversary!
We went out to dinner at Eddie V's--a great restaurant with incredible food and service. A bit noisy, but it was full of people having a good time.
Here's a few photos:

(156,910 posts)We used to eat there when it was McCormicks & Schmick's, long ago. Now it's got a new name and higher prices and great food!
We could not believe how busy they were on a Monday night! Regular weekends it must be a complete zoo.
We had a great time, still.

CaliforniaPeggy
(156,910 posts)49 years is nothing to sneeze at! Depending on your current ages, you have very good odds to live as long as we have.
I could never imagine being married to anyone else. And he's the same about me.
Amazing.

(156,910 posts)Oh, I hope not! That would put me nearly at 130 years old, and my money will all be gone by then!
We hope for 10 to 20 more. Time will tell!

(60,423 posts)And Kudos for doing it in style. At 41 years married (and 49 together), we are mere amateurs compared to you two.
Here are two memories from your visit to us here in Düsseldorf way back when:
At the Kölner Dom (Cathedral in Cologne):

And at the Arabesq restaurant in Düsseldorf:
