(25,332 posts)Just as I am the sunrise, sunset, a couple of wildflowers and woodpecker guy (more about them later).
Sometimes the unofficial fire lookout, but I put those pics in a folder off my beaten path.
Work with what you got.
I enjoyed shorebirds on my Bay Area visit.
Spent years going up and down the coast.
I get both sunrises and sunsets, on either side of the ridge. Some evenings I have to choose between direct and reflected light off sunset clouds, or hustle to get both.
Great stuff. The frogs are amazing, but feel free to take other stuff. 🐸🌸🐒🐝🐞

(10,176 posts)easy pickings for subjects.....the tricky part is just leaving them be and taking what you can get in-situ....and that's what i've been doing lately.....they are not usually cooperative, so its a challenge

(1,347 posts)Lithophane is a 3d printed picture basically.... Looks like a 3d render of image. Back light it and it show the actual picture.
Those pics looks amazing!
Would it be ok to use these pics for some Lithophanes? I would not be selling and would be more than happy to send you one.

(31,260 posts)Are the rough parts on their legs what makes them "sing"
Gato Moteado
(10,176 posts)...i think you're thinking about crickets maybe.....these guys call from their vocal sacs....and to be honest, the red eyed tree frogs don't have much of a song...more like a clacking noise you can do with your tongue and the roof of your mouth.
there are some frogs with incredible calls....the one i find most beautiful is the chorus sung by the granulated glass frog. if you're walking thru a stream and they are all around you in the foliage and one starts of the call and triggers others, it's chilling.
