wouldn't feel comfortable doing so tonight. As you know, happybird had to let go of her beautiful cat today. She's posted a stunning photo of Pooper. When I looked at that photo I was crying. All the grief I felt in the days following the death of my cat Penelope in October of 2022 came back. Reading the posts of people who've recently lost a pet always hits me hard.
I don't want to step on the mourning and condolences in the Pet group tonight by posting a photo of my living cat. Posting in Photography is another matter; I post here almost daily, but seldom post in the Pet forum. Reading the comments here with compliments to Calliope made me feel less sad tonight.
Sorry for turning this into a therapy session, Niyad--and anyone else reading this. I'm honored by your request. Thanks.

(113,628 posts)the furpeople share with each other in both joys and sorrows, and it is indeed therapy. Of course you still grieve for Penelope, and always will. Huggggggs, and pets for Calliope.

(25,916 posts)One is part Siamese, and has the wonderful blue eyes of a Siamese. The other is an orange tabby with golden eyes. I don't have pictures to post, but trust me, they are beautiful.
Of course, I'm biased. I am not exaggerating when I say that by the time I was three years old I was bringing home stray cats. My son knows that if he eventually needs to place me in a home, he needs to find one that has resident cats. I can imagine being so senile I don't know him, but I will never be so senile that I won't want to be with cats.

(3,312 posts)I'm quite biased about the cats who live with me. They're always the best cats in the universe. Ever.
I'd love to see photos of your cats. To post here you'd have to join a photo hosting site (I use a free site, Imgur), upload your photos there, copy the link and post it here in the subject box. There are instructions here but I'd be glad to help you with the process.
