B&W conversion is easy in GIMP with the plugins.
2.8 has really improved usability greatly. The menu has moved from the window to the menu bar. Yeah

(154,021 posts)In the metadata, including speed, f-stop when available, kit lens, and all that jazz. It could be useful just as a learning tool for young photographers.
