(4,237 posts)I'd say about fifty to seventy yards. I think this particular cat was accustomed to seeing photographers. I was using a 100-500mm lens zoomed all the way in.

(4,141 posts)You even got one with the signature bobtail. I love wildlife photography though outside of some roadkill, I've only managed to capture lizards, pelicans, and other water-loving birds.

(39,682 posts)Ive seen exactly one bobcat in my life, and it was walking away from at twilight. Mostly all I saw and remember were its false eyes ears.
