Ice Storm

We experienced quite an ice storm last Wednesday! Over my lunch break I went out-and-about taking a few photos.

1. The rain dancers look a little chilly

Great photos, and I love the girl in the hat.

Just to make you feel bad, we've had temps in the 80s the last few days. Not nearly as good for getting spectacular photos, though.

6. I yearn for 80 degree weather.

I'm hoping that we will just slide into summer, but snow is forecasted in a few days. Good grief!

3. I noticed that someone put a glove on the boy.

5. I've taken many photos

of the Rain Dancer's children. And yes, I think it's interesting that someone placed a glove on one of the children. I also think it interesting that someone put hats and scarves on the photo below - taken a couple seasons ago, but not only that . . . I took the previous shot at almost the same angle.

10. That is so cool. We have one statue that gets decorated, but sadly it is the horse's

hanging twins that get painted. Day-glo orange seems to be the favorite color.

I like the looks of things after an ice storm. Unfortunately, the damage to the trees and power grids tends to remind us that we don't get them for free.
