(14,559 posts)And the eye is corrected for near (reading) vision. There is still some swelling and with that comes a pronounced cyan tint and a focus distance of only 10-12 inches in the left eye so I hope I didn't over-correct anything. Hopefully in another few days it will normalize.
In two weeks I'll have the right eye fixed for distance and can get rid of the cheater glasses.
A blind photographer is a sad thing . . .

(14,559 posts)insurance. $800 without supplementary insurance and $150 with the insurance I bought.
There are lenses that allow near/mid/distance vision but they're $3500 each, not covered by medicare or insurance. I'm using mono-vision correction; left eye for near/reading and right (dominant) eye for distance. Works amazingly well as the brain chooses which image to use and blends them for mid range.
BTW, you may not be my favorite photographer but you're damn near the top of that list. Love your vision and imagery.
