It was a fun thing to do in between painting walls and shampooing carpet.

What's the deal with carpets anyway? Every time I think I've got it perfectly clean, another spot pops up when it dries. It's driving me crazy. (It probably means I don't shampoo my carpet often enough.

It's been a while since I've run one of these contests, and I had to work this in between my major home remodel and getting ready for vacation. In other words, I'm kind of scattered right now. I thought if I recognized the top 3 and then identified everyone else's photos, it would suffice to give everyone a little glory. 
I tried to get it right...
I figured an apology wouldn't hurt. 
We're going to Southeast Alaska. It's about an 800-mile ride to Haines, then we're taking the ferries (Alaska Marine Highway) to Juneau and Sitka, spending a few days at each place. On the way back, if the weather isn't horrible, we'll take the Klondike Loop up to Dawson and then the Top of the World Highway over to Chicken, Alaska, and then back home. The Top of the World,is the furthest north crossing from Canada into the US.
I'm sure we'll get into a lot of rain, but it should be fun anyway. Nice to get away from the remodel for a bit. . My husband bought me 4 16-GB cards, so I think I'll be taking lots of pictures and won't lose any like I did at the Iditarod.
but even if she isn't, we stay on the Glenn Highway instead of turning onto the Parks at the Y, so we go through Palmer and not Wasilla. .
