(22,380 posts)I'm impressed to say the least. The favorite is number one!
I'm not trying. No time right now, a bit much on my plate to learn new stuff when I don't even maneuver well in the old.

(90,785 posts)The first one is the most subtle. I like it too. If I had only removed that one leaf, I would love the photo.
I'm just playing around until I figure it out. (Which means I'll be playing around a long time)

(34,119 posts)Now I have to go look up what HDR is. It will be a long time before I am ever proficient enough to consider doing anything more than shooting regular shots
I too love the first one and even love all the leaves. The second is also nice. More interesting with the sky and the fence but I still like #1 the best.
That mantis is awesome

(90,785 posts)You should see what other group members can do with HDR. I'm still very much a novice.
The next contest coming up this month is HDR. (high dynamic range)
Here's a link.

You need the software. Several to choose from. People have their favorites.
Here's the one I've been using

(34,119 posts)I have too much to learn before I can even allow myself to look at all of this but I am saving the links. I am looking forward to seeing more. You are doing wonderful things.

(27,453 posts)I know HDR can be used subtly but when I think of HDR I think of weird, over the top and surreal. that one does it.
Solly Mack
(90,785 posts)I like how it came out. The colors of the background especially.

(14,040 posts)Because though they're HDR, they don't look over done. That's one of my pet peeves about HDR--the overcooked look. You're picking up fast on it though. Good work.

(90,785 posts)I'm not a fan of HDR but it can be fun. I sometimes like the overdone look, depending on how it comes out.
