DIY vintage ribbon camera strap

The given example is kind of girly, but it reminds me of a custom guitar strap. I imagine some shopping around could reveal a tasteful alternative to the souless faux leather accessory that came with my Olympus. I also don't have a sewing machine, but Ms Ringo does, and that should make the project even easier (for me)!

With a small adjustment something could be supplemented in place of the split rings to prevent body damage.

Personally, I'm more of a fan of a sling...

I've never had any problems with it.

I did a macrame strap.

It was fun to make!

Hate the strap that came with my 70D - didn't even unwrap it.

Hated the strap on my Rebel - lived with it.

Don't trust the Black Rapid system - it goes into the tripod screw and can come undone.

So, split rings will do the deal on a custom strap!!
