(26,695 posts)I lived in Louisiana for a while and I really miss it sometimes, particularly around April and early May which I always thought were the best times to be in south LA. Your photos have triggered (and partly assuaged) that 'homesickness'...

There is a similar one in Mobile...rather, i hope it is still there, dunno after Hurricane Ivan.

There's a park in New Iberia that has an old Navy jet on display. I asked my mother to pose beside it with her hand on the wing.......
