It was very bright so I used an ND filter. I messed with levels and dynamic range to bring out the colors.

I am starting to wonder if olympus produces richer color range...

Olympus does produce good colors.
If you are used to the optical viewfinder, you might find electronic vf's odd. The Olympus OM-D is the camera that is creating some buzz right now. I'd look at the Oly EP3 too.

You can but a clip on EVF for this camera.
