The 'Dance' of the Anole

They meet.

They didn't want to meet... but one Anole crossed into another Anole's territory.

The 'dance' begins.

They continue to circle until...

They 'embrace'.

They will remain locked this way until one of the dancers retreats.

Last Anole standing. (the other one didn't die - he just ran away)

Relaxing in his kingdom.

I like the way they change when they're in fighting-mode. This was the first time I've ever seen 2 males battle each other.

I'm currently watching the hummingbird wars going on at my house. Vicious little things.

and get a visual treat to boot. Your observations are always welcome here, I like the second to the last photo best.
Great colors, placement and interest.

I'm trying to create my own little habitat. Flowers and plants - things like that. As well as feeders, shade and perches. I've gotten a couple of new birds that hang about now.

No creatures like that in my area, so it's nice to see them through your eyes.

He eats bugs and nibbles on a leaf or two between new growths. The female likes my gerber daisies. I'm fairly certain she laid her eggs within their borders.

Thanks!

They must of been really into their turf fight to let you get so many pictures. Great catch wonderfully done! Hoping for more since they are hanging around you gardens.

We don't have them up here. I actually miss the chameleons in Flalala.

I've been watching my flower beds for babies. I'm sure the eggs will hatch soon. Baby anoles! How cool would that be?!?!?!
