A little boring but obligatory --- Spring is springing

I took a walk today and lifted 3 baby daffodils from a neighbor's yard. There were a few more, but I left them for the owner and other neighbors walking about and enjoying the sun and the warmth.
Here they are - in my kitchen - helping me celebrate the end of a bone chilling winter.

I love the warmth of the wood table with the smiling yellow daffodils sitting there...

and they came out beautiful.
Better yet, were the years that followed: they sprung up like mad, I think because of the bulbs. They were gorgeous along side some wild flower seeds my brother-in-law threw in the soil! I have pictures of it somewhere.

It will be quite a while before I see daffodils, but they are on the way.....slower than I would like. Several inches of snow still covering the ground here. Thanks for giving me hope.
