i was able to squeeze in a quick walk this evening

i got out of work much earlier than normal and i had to get out. we broke 80 today, but we had some rain come through later in the afternoon and it was perfectly lovely weather. buggy, but nice. it's been five weeks since i've been able to make it on a walk and it felt so good to finally get out. both areas are reclaimed gravel pits and i am so thankful that my city and county feel the need to invest in such things.

from my first stop:

at first i thought it was odd that the goose was on the railing of the little pier, but i'm pretty sure its other leg is injured

to the east

from the second:

i was really surprised how close i was able to edge to this little guy

and the little bit of color we got in the west

I hope the bird isn't injured...

The pictures are great. The sky and clouds are wonderful! I especially enjoyed the bit of color in the west. Just for fun, you might try cropping that picture just at the border where the white clouds start. I think it would increase the drama of the pink clouds. And they are gorgeous!

I love the bunny too...maybe it's used to being around people?

Thanks for sharing!

Love the bunny's hiding place.

Some birds stand on one leg from time to time--particularly as night falls. I hope that's what's going on. Hurt legs in birds can often be fixed by veterinarians. The problem is in catching them
