An evening at the Jersey shore

I went with some friends to Wildwood, NJ to photograph their vintage neon signs and such. It was fun and a great idea to go the weekend before Memorial Day.

If you aren't familiar with Wildwood, NJ, it looks like they never updated beyond the 50's or 60's.

Boardwalk Food

This was a storage warehouse that appeared to be filled with tons of old vintage signage and boardwalk games.

They're hard to see but there's a couple in that suitcase waving.

Thanks for posting. Went to Cape May a few years ago, but did not make it to Wildwood. Now I wish I had done so.

Real pizza, vinegar on french fries, philly steak sanwiches, italian sausage sanwiches, Italian ice, egg cream . The rides, and the waves on the great beach.

Loved this and it is locked in my memories.

Thanks for the great pics.

And frozen custard!

My husband was an entertainer at The Rainbow and The Starlight and The Paypen between 1980 and 1986. I aged 20 years but it was worth it. Only had 3 hours sleep a night throughout the Summer season there...whadda ride!

I haven't been to Wildwood in a long, long time. My family vacations in Lavallette every summer.
Thanks for the photos.
