(46,436 posts)Panos are not my forte, and I'm getting ready for my Aurora-shooting trip, so I'll be sitting this one out. Good luck to everyone.

(7,343 posts)I had several choices to make also. All three are nice...the last one - it looks like one of those torrential summer thunderstorms is coming!
per my PM, I think you chose the correct photo
I have spent many happy hours swimming in the water in your photo
from years ago when I took a group of students to swim...

(7,343 posts)I was wondering. Of course maybe any of us could maybe do that, am I correct, or does protocol mean the person in charge do that?
Anyways, all entries are very nice!

(86,326 posts)I would have liked to share something other than my entry but now that I have an account at photobucket I suppose I should keep entering in the future.
I have to go to the city to get some business done... it's 170 miles one way so I may not be back until tomorrow evening... and now I have to get horizontal so I can get on the road by 7:30am.
If adjustments need to be made for adding my submission to the contest, please let me know, I'll check in when I get home... Thanks!

(86,326 posts)Just got in. Not only was it hot and a long drive, the whole day I was in such dense smoke that I couldn't see what's in my picture on the way coming or going... ick.
Have a great time with the contest, I can't wait to see all the entries!
Thanks again,

(22,380 posts)I'm sure I'm not alone. I've been clicking them to the mild annoyance of those around me for days, and have been learning.
Maybe, if you have the time, tell folks again that it's not that hard, and fun, once you start playing with it. I took many panoramas by now, and find it quite interesting.
I'm still lost in the Everglades, or I would try to do it.
Solly Mack
(90,758 posts)I really suck at panoramas.
But, my attempts have been fun and it's not that hard...of a concept.
I'm getting better.

(4,205 posts)Have always loved playing with panos and stitching .. That one actually has a double bow in it but second(higher) one is hard to make out

(7,343 posts)I think there weren't more entries because it's just not some people's forte...Kinda like the night photography contest a few months ago... I didn't enter that because I don't have a tripod and had nothing to submit...Plus, you know, shrinking down a photo to DU size, sometimes you lose a lot of the detail, the subtleties...with panorama shots it's harder to see details...plus it can be a composition challenge if you are not used to it.
